Norwegian UNIX User Group (NUUG) is a non-commercial organization whose mission is to further the use of UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems, free- and open source software and open standards in Norway. The organization was formed in June 1984 with intent of stimulating and increasing interesed in- and use of- UNIX, and to facilitate the exchange of information and experience among users. NUUG is the Norwegian national body of USENIX. NUUG also functions as a center of contact between national and international groups with similear fields of interest.
