= Information for speakers at the technical track at Go Open 2009 =

 * The conference take place in [[http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=59.914318&mlon=10.750761&zoom=14&layers=B000FTF|Folketeaterbygningen, Oslo, Norway]] 2009-04-16 and 2009-04-17.
 * The audience is expected to be a mix of system administrators and software developers.  One should expect the audience to have good computer knowledge and target the talk to ones peers.
 * The talks are in general 40 minutes including questions, and there is a 5 minute break between each talk
 * The talks will be video recorded, and the recordings published on the web with a Creative Commonts Attribution Share Alike (CC-BY-SA) licence.
 * To make sure the slides show up properly in compressed video, it is a good idea to test the slides in 800x600 or even better 640x480.  See also [[http://people.skolelinux.no/herman/vid/dc/slide_legibility.html|How readable is that slide?]] page.  As a rule of thumb, use a fontsize like 32pt for normal text. For slides prepared at 800x600, 24pt will do quite nicely, if the contrast is good and the fonts are quite fat. However, presenters will likely have 1024x768 or bigger screens on their laptop, so 32pt will be closer to the sweet spot.
 * It is possible to use your own laptop, but you should make sure the VGA signal exported from it is at most 1024x768.
